Z!ng Title, an Amaz!ng Division of Liberty Title Agency, is seeking an enthusiastic person that enjoys a fast paced environment.  If you are attentive to details and follow through, as well as helpful and team oriented, then we have the ideal variety filled Escrow Officer position available for you in our recently opened Delray Beach, Florida Office.

The Escrow Officer is responsible for completing real estate transactions by determining requirements, clearing title, assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents and disbursing funds.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Determines escrow requirements by reviewing and clarifying buyer, seller, realtor, and lender instructions
  • Obtains clear title by reviewing title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying liens and encumbrances against property
  • Verifies taxes, assessments, water, and homeowner’s association dues
  • Prorates taxes and association dues to specific purchase agreement and local customs
  • Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements and /or collecting and reviewing existing documents
  • Reviews lender packages and instructions to assist in the preparation and review of the Closing Disclosure
  • Balances file and confirms all funding requirements are met
  • Conducts and oversees the explanation and signing of the closing documents
  • Collection and disbursement of funds at the closing table for all types of purchase and refinance transactions
  • Prepare Final Policies
  • Disburse closed files, including returning loan packages to lenders, receipting incoming funds, cutting checks, re-balancing file if necessary, scanning to paperless document repository, and processing documents for recording
  • Answers routine customer service questions
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications necessary to successfully perform this job:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in the title insurance industry as an Escrow Officer or Escrow Assistant
  • Florida Notary
  • Florida Resident Title Insurance Agent License
  • Knowledge of MS Office Products
  • Knowledge of SoftPro, a plus
  • An image that displays confidence, helpfulness and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to function as a team player in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working with the Closing Disclosure
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
