This position is responsible for providing educated decisions on the condition of titles for properties based upon underwriting and product principles.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for preparation and review of search package for completeness and correct copies to establish a valid chain of title and to identify any open mortgages, liens, and encumbrances
  • Perform easement and restriction searches
  • Research property tax information
  • Perform survey review
  • Answer routine customer service questions
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years prior title industry experience required
  • An image that displays confidence, helpfulness and professionalism
  • Excellent computer and communication skills
  • The ability to function as a team player in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of MS Office Products
  • Proficient in using Data Trace and County Register of Deeds/Treasurer Websites
  • Knowledge of SoftPro, a plus
  • Candidate will need to obtain Michigan Resident Producer License within 3 months of hire date
